During the pandemic, administrators of the Grief Counselling Master’s Degree Program at the University of Barcelona knew that they could improve their online teaching practices. They were not utilizing asynchronous learning, and the students and faculty were experiencing “Zoom fatigue.” Together we created a plan for a hybrid-flipped classroom that utilizes interactive and experiential activities and maximizes time spent together for the deep and meaningful learning that happens when people gather to dialogue and practice. The two-year plan helped to evaluate a learning management system (LMS), adapt activities for interactive, independent learning, create dynamic lecture videos, and build a unique system to provided evaluative feedback on video-recorded clinical practice.
